>>Biography
Jonathan Crean is a sound artist and researcher based in Ballina, Co. Mayo, Ireland. His practice explores sound as a relational force between human and more-than-human worlds, working with natural materials, improvisation, and site-specific performance. Drawing from ecological thought, posthumanism, and enactive perception, his work foregrounds listening as an empathetic and ethical act. Through projects that span live performance, instrument building, aural score, and installation, he challenges human-centric narratives and invites new forms of connection and co-creation with the natural world.
