Traumabox is a collective of national and international sound artists, formed by graduates of the Experimental Sound Practice MA at University College Cork. Rooted in practices of deep listening and improvisation, we explore how attentive listening and responsive interaction can shape sound. Our close-knit relationship as a group becomes a vehicle for connection in performance, guiding the ways we hear, react, and co-create in real time. Using a blend of found objects, DIY instruments, and electronic elements, we craft rich, unpredictable sonic environments. We have performed in venues such as The Guesthouse and the Boole Library in Cork, continually transforming spaces into resonant, collaborative soundscapes.
